Vision
To be a global vanguard in propulsion technology by pushing the boundaries of what is possible in space exploration. We aspire to strengthen India’s position as a pre-eminent leader in the global space arena through technical excellence, innovation, and the pursuit of a sustainable "zero-defect" culture in the realization of advanced launch vehicle and spacecraft power plants.

Mission
The ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) is dedicated to providing the propulsion backbone of the Indian space programme. Our mission is to:
• Realize and Validate: Lead the assembly, integration, and rigorous testing of liquid, cryogenic, and semi-cryogenic propulsion systems for India’s workhorse and next-generation launch vehicles.
• Ensure Mission Integrity: Deliver mission-critical, flight-ready hardware that adheres to the highest standards of safety and reliability, ensuring the success of national priorities such as the Gaganyaan human spaceflight programme
.• Drive Self-Reliance: Advance the indigenization of critical technologies and subsystems to reduce external dependencies and bolster national capability in space transportation.

Core Objectives
The operational activities of IPRC are focused on achieving the following strategic goals:
• Propulsion System Realization: Execute the assembly and delivery of propulsion systems across a vast thrust spectrum—from 2 kN to 2000 kN—covering Earth-storable, cryogenic, and semi-cryogenic technologies.
• Technical Excellence in Validation: Conduct specialized developmental, qualification, and flight acceptance testing under both sea-level and High Altitude simulated conditions to guarantee performance in the vacuum of space.
• Advanced Propellant Management:
Sustain the production and uninterrupted supply of high-purity cryogenic propellants (LH2, LOX, and LIN) and storable liquid propellants for all national launch and satellite missions.
• Strategic R&D and Innovation: Actively pursue Technology Development Programmes (TDP) to enhance propulsion efficiency, explore green propellants, and pioneer future-ready solutions like the 2000 kN Semi-cryogenic engine.
• Infrastructure Augmentation: Continuously establish and modernize world-class facilities, such as high-energy imaging and the Semi-cryo Integrated Engine Test Facility (SIET), to maintain a state-of-the-art proving ground for space technology.
• Collaborative Growth: Foster strategic partnerships with private entities and research organizations to unlock new frontiers in space exploration and enhance the industrial ecosystem for propulsion technology.
