Outreach Events : National Space Day
National Space Day is celebrated annually on August 23rd to commemorate the historic landing of Chandrayaan-3 near the Moon’s south pole, a milestone that significantly advanced India’s position in space exploration. The ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) utilizes this occasion to bridge the gap between complex rocket science and the classroom, fostering a national scientific temper.
Igniting Ambition through Direct Engagement IPRC is deeply committed to encouraging students by creating widespread awareness of space technology and its societal applications. Central to this mission is a proactive outreach strategy where IPRC scientists visit schools and colleges to engage directly with the youth. These interactions are designed to transform abstract scientific concepts into tangible career paths, motivating students to join the workforce of the nation's prestigious space agency.
